Chapter 114

Suratul- Nas: Mankind

Verse 1

Arabic:

ﻗُﻞْ ﺃَﻋُﻮﺫُ ﺑِﺮَﺏِّ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱ

Transliteration:

Qul a'unzu birobbin naas.

Translation:

1. Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of Mankind

Tafsir:

Imam Ibn Kathir joined the tafsir of verses 1 to 3 of this chapter. So the tafsir will be taken when we get to Verse 3,

However, let's note this:

Narrated Aisha: Whenever Allah's Messenger (S.A.W) went to bed, he used to recite Surat Al-Ikhlas (112), Surat Al-Falaq (113) and Surat An-Nas (114) and then blow on his palms and pass them over his face and those parts of his body that his hands could reach. And when he fell ill, he used to order me to do like that for him. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 7, Hadith No. 644)
